Diablo 4: 10 Best Mounts, Ranked

Once you reach Diablo 4's fourth act, you'll be able to choose a mount. Here are some of the best mounts you could hope to ride.

One of the best parts of any game is being able to find and use mounts. These mounts will allow the player to travel long distances quickly. They are used to Diablo 4 items  enhance the overall gameplay of a video game by ensuring that the player doesn't have to spend a lot of time getting from place to place. They can truly make the difference between a good and a great game, and a lot of developers know this.

Thankfully, Diablo 4 has plenty of mounts that players can ride and enjoy after reaching Act 4 of the game. There are tons of different mounts, mount armor, and mount trophies. This allows the player to truly make their mount their own. They can be customized to fit whatever theme or aesthetic the player is wanting to go for within the game. Here are the top 10 mounts found in Diablo 4.

Triune Charger

The Triune Charger is one of the many mounts that players can purchase in the game's Shop for real money. This mount costs 1,500 Platinum, which is about $15 USD. Unfortunately, players will need to either purchase 500 and 1,000 Platinum separately or 2,500 to have enough. This is due to the fact that there isn't an option to just purchase 1,500 Platinum for $15. This is the only way players can obtain this mount as of now.

What makes this mount interesting is the fact that it has symbols and runes etched into its body. This makes the mount look similar to the Primal Instinct mount without having to deal with the Twitch Drops and Subscriptions to obtain. It is found lower on the list due to how the color of these symbols and runes are lighter and blend in with the mount's fur rather than truly popping. If you're trying to avoid spending money in the game, this is a perfect alternative to the Primal Instinct mount.

Striped Steppe Steed

The Striped Steppe Steed is another mount that easily sticks out in Diablo 4. This mount can be obtained by looting chests and killing monsters in the Dry Steppes area of the game. You will need to bring the reins of the mount back to a stable master to use it. Once given to the stable master, you will be able to change your mount to this great one.

This mount looks similar to a horse that has zebra stripes on it. It is one of the most unique looking out of all the regular horse mounts in the game. While many horses just have different colors or manes, this horse's stripes stand out. If it offered more stipes, the mount could even be better.

Executioner's Steed

This is a mount that doesn't have a set location. You can find it by killing monsters and by looting chests anywhere in the game. Once you obtain it, you'll need to take it back to the stable master if you want to use it. The stable master will then allow you to select this steed from your mounts.

This mount looks similar to Diablo IV items the Liath Icehowl mount, one of the mounts available for purchase in the in-game Shop. The coloring of the horse's fur along with some details in the mane set it apart from the purchasable mount. This is a great alternative for those avoiding spending money, especially since these two mounts are so close together in color and appearance.

Light-Bearer

This mount is only available to those who preordered the game. Unlike some bonuses, this mount was obtainable for purchasing any version of the game before its release. It also came with some mount armor to complete the look. If you did not preorder the game, there is no way to obtain this mount. If you did preorder the game, the mount can be found in the mount selection screen at the nearest stable.

What makes this mount so special is that it looks like most horses, but the color is different. There aren't many horses in the game that have the light gray look like this one does. It can truly stand out in the middle of the darker colors of the game. The armor it came with is also something that truly pulls together the mount's look.

Primal Instinct

The Primal Instinct mount is a pretty cool mount. It is only available to players who have linked their Blizzard and Twitch accounts. Once you have done that, you have to gift 2 subscriptions to any eligible channel on Twitch. Twitch will then send you a code to redeem the mount. You'll have to get on Blizzard's website to redeem that code for your mount. It will then be in your mount selection screen.

This mount is one of the best designs so far. The dark coat mixed with the red symbols on its fur truly makes this mount stand out. This is one of those mounts that looks great with or without mount armor. While it looks similar to the Triune Charger mentioned earlier, its darker color and brighter symbols make it look better. It is a perfect mount for anyone willing to participate in the Twitch Drops.

Cavalier's Steed

The Cavalier's Steed is another amazing mount for players in Diablo 4. This mount, like many others, doesn't have any set location that it drops. It can be found by killing monsters and looting chests anywhere in the game. You just need to take its reins back to a stable master once found, and they will allow you to change your mount to this one.

What makes this mount stand out from the others is its color. While there are horses that have a lighter color in the game, this is one of the few ones white in color. The light color can really help the mount stand out against all the black and dark brown mounts in the game.

Liath Icehowl

The Liath Icehowl is the mount that goes along with the "Crypt Hunter Add-On". This add-on costs $6.99 USD in the game's Shop. The description of this mount reads, "Once used to ferry bodies to their rest, this mottled colt carries with it the trinkets of heroes long dead and buried." This mount is a pretty interesting mount with some cool lore behind it.

While this horse looks similar to the Executioner's Steed, the details in the horse's mane (along with the spots in the fur of the horse) make it stand out more. It is an amazing mount for anyone who doesn't mind spending the money. This add-on also included some cosmetic items for weapons and 800 Platinum. It isn't a bad deal for anyone wanting to get some stuff in the Shop.

Temptation

This mount, like the Light-Bearer one, is available when you purchase the game. However, if you want this particular mount, you will have to purchase the Deluxe or Ultimate Editions of the game. The Deluxe Edition costs $20 USD more than the Standard Edition and the Ultimate Edition costs $30 USD more than the Standard Edition. Thankfully, you can purchase these editions at any time and obtain the mount.

The mount certainly stands out from the rest. While a large portion of the mounts look to be regular horses, this mount is a demonic horse. The dark red skin and bright red patches truly make this horse stand out. It looks like it belongs with Lilith herself.

Decaying Steed

The Decaying Steed is another mount that strays from the regular horse look. This mount's location is a little different from the others. In order to obtain this amazing mount, you'll need to kill some Treasure Goblins. As of now, this is the only known way to obtain the mount.

The fact that this mount looks like a zombie horse truly makes it stand out from the others. This is another mount that looks like it belongs right at home in the Diablo Franchise. The decay truly gives this mount a unique look.

Spectral Charge

Finally, the best mount in Diablo 4 is the Spectral Charge. This mount is pretty hard to get and probably won't be available to players until they progress in the story a bit. Once you have completed the Kor Dragan Stronghold near Kyovashad in the Fractured Peaks, you will notice that you can now participate in the Gathering Legion Zone Event. This mount is a drop from those.

The reason this mount is the best is pretty obvious. Like the Decaying Steed resembling a zombie, the Spectral Charge resembles a spectral entity or ghost. The blue aura that this mount gives off just makes it that much better. This is a mount you don't want to miss.
